The setting and your visit

Built from 1931 to 1932, the concrete passage was made by blocking the water and excavating the seabed. The inscription at its entrance refers to a gateway connecting the island and mainland.

Walk the 483 m passage to the other side

The tunnel is 483 m long and 5 m wide. If you return to your starting point after crossing, you will walk the same passage back.

The Dang-dong entrance has a tourist information office, and panels inside introduce Tongyeong attractions. Keep your dog on a leash and bring waste bags.
