Discuss health checks and dental care
Yulha City Animal Hospital provides health checks for dogs and cats weighing up to 10 kg, with packages grouped by age. Owners can discuss which tests are included and which additional investigations suit the animal’s health and examination findings.
Weight and age define the starting health-check package
The packages are for dogs and cats weighing up to 10 kg. Basic covers under three years; Standard covers three to under seven; Premium covers seven and older. These are the hospital’s package groups rather than a requirement for every animal to receive each test at that age.
Basic includes physical and ear examination, a blood-cell count, ten serum measurements, and chest and abdominal radiographs. Standard adds electrolytes and detailed abdominal ultrasound and expands serum testing to 17 measurements. Blood tests assess cells and internal measurements, while ultrasound examines organ shape and internal structure.
Senior and additional tests depend on examination findings
Premium adds joint radiographs and SDMA, a kidney-function-related blood marker. Dogs receive CPL testing related to the pancreas; cats receive T4 thyroid-hormone testing. Results are considered alongside signs and other findings.
Additional options include urinalysis, heartworm screening, antibody titres, inflammation and hormone tests, echocardiography and joint radiographs. Signs, breed, history and previous results inform selection. During a consultation, owners can distinguish the package’s starting tests from additional investigations.
A periodontal patient had pre-anaesthetic tests and dental treatment
A nine-year-old dog described on 7 May 2026 had severe tartar and periodontal disease, inflammation affecting tissues around and supporting the teeth. Blood tests and radiographs preceded dental treatment under inhalational anaesthesia.
Alongside scaling, the hospital extracted the left lower canine and incisors that had lost function. The patient received fluids after anaesthetic recovery and prescribed oral medicine.
Surgical findings identified fluid in the uterus
An eight-year-old female dog described on 6 June 2025 attended for spaying. Blood tests and radiographs preceded inhalational anaesthesia and removal of the ovaries and uterus through an abdominal incision.
The surgical findings were a partly enlarged uterus containing clear fluid, termed hydrometra. The patient recovered from anaesthesia, received fluids and was discharged. This records that patient’s care rather than a discharge timetable or surgical plan for other dogs.
